Possible Symptoms
Symptoms होने पर urination में burning, unusual vaginal discharge, bleeding between periods, pelvic discomfort या intercourse के दौरान pain जैसी complaints हो सकती हैं। ये symptoms Gonorrhea के लिए specific नहीं हैं, इसलिए lab testing आवश्यक है।
PID और Fertility Risk
Untreated cervical infection upper reproductive tract तक फैल सकता है और PID से जुड़ सकता है। PID के कारण fallopian-tube scarring, ectopic pregnancy और infertility risk बढ़ सकता है। Antibiotics active infection को treat कर सकते हैं, लेकिन पहले से बनी structural damage हमेशा reverse नहीं होती; इसलिए early diagnosis महत्वपूर्ण है।
Testing कैसे होती है?
NAAT commonly preferred testing method है। Vaginal/cervical sample या urine sample clinical context के अनुसार उपयोग हो सकता है। Throat या rectal exposure relevant हो तो site-specific testing की जरूरत पड़ सकती है। Gonorrhea positive होने पर chlamydia, syphilis और HIV testing पर भी चर्चा उचित है।
Screening किसे चाहिए?
